Geschenke, Geschenke, Geschenke! Darum ging es bei mir in den letzten Tagen. Nicht nur, dass ich noch reichlich Weihnachtsgeschenke nachzumachen habe, sondern ich wollte auch ein frisches Geburtstagskind glücklich machen. So wurde ordentlich genäht, geklebt und gestempelt, um ganz viel Glück auf dem Bescherungstisch zu verbreiten.
Gifts, Gifts, Gifts! That was the only thing going around in my head over the past days. I'm still working on some very late christmas presents and now there was another birthday around the corner. So everything was about sewing, glueing and stamping to bring some joy to the birthday table.
Die erste Geschenkidee war dieser Wärmflaschenbezug inklusive der dazugehörigen Wärmflasche. Das Nähen eines Wärmflaschenbezugs ist sehr leicht. Einfach die Wärmflasche nehmen, Umrisse übertragen und fertig ist das Schnittmuster. Zum Nähen sollte man mindestens 1cm Nahtzugabe rechnen und nochmal ca. 2cm extra für die befüllte Flasche. Mein Bezug ist oben zum Befüllen offen und die Flasche kann hinten durch einen Hotelverschluss gewechselt werden. Da ich mir letztens meine erste Packung KamSnaps bestellt habe, wurden die Druckknöpfe gleich mal bei der Hülle ausprobiert.
The first gift-idea was a hot-water bag. Sewing a hot-water bag is pretty simple: Just apply the bag on a paper and draw the outlines. When sewing you should add 1cm as seam allowance and another 2cm for the filled bag. My bag is open at the top for filling the bag and at the back to change the bag. The buttons are from KamSnaps, that I recently ordered at DaWanda.
Danach war ich höchst motiviert und habe gleich weitergebastelt und ein kleines Nähpaket gezaubert. Die Idee ist vom freepeopleblog und ist sehr schnell umgesetzt. Einfach ein Einmachglas nehmen, den Deckel mit Stoff bekleben (dabei ein kleines Loch lassen, um den Deckel mit Füllwatte zu füllen): Fertig ist das Nadelkissen. Der Inhalt ist frei wählbar. Ich hatte leider nicht soviel daheim, da habe ich einfach ein paar Stoffreste hineingemacht.
After that I was really motivated and went on crafting. I decided to make a little sewing kit out of a mason jar, I got the ides from the freepeopleblog. For this you only need to glue some fabric to the top of the jar and fill it with cotton-fill. Ready is the pin cushion. Fill the jar with everything you like. I only had some fabric leftovers, but I think it still looks pretty cute.
Am Ende brauchte ich natürlich noch eine Verpackung und dafür habe ich dann einfach meinen Pin of the week vom letzten Beitrag reproduziert. Einfach einen Apfel halbieren und ihn mit Farbe in einen professionellen Stempel verwandeln. Schnell gemacht und sieht super aus!
In the end I needed some wrapping, so I decided to reproduce my Pin of the week of last week. I just cut an apple in half and used it as a stamp. A lot of fun and really easy and fast.
Also, wenn ihr mal wieder ein Geburtstagsgeschenk braucht, kann ich euch diese drei nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vor allem die Tasche ist sehr schnell und ohne viel Aufwand gemacht. Viel Spaß dabei!
