Endlich war mal wieder ein bißchen anständiges Wetter und es war möglich ein paar Fotos zu machen. Nach diesem ganzen dunklen Schmuddelwetter freut man sich ja schon über jede ansatzweise hellaussehende Wolke. Heute geht es um Cake Pops....lecker!
Finally there was some nice weather outside and it was possible to take some pictures. After all this gloomy weather the last few weeks I am even glad for just a tiny white-looking cloud in the sky. Today it's all about Cake Pops...yummy!

Für Cake Pops benötigt mein eigentlich gar nicht soviel. Nur sein Lieblingskuchenrezept, Frosting, Holzstäbchen und jede Menge Zeit, denn Cake Pops sind definitiv eine Tagesaufgabe. Doch es lohnt sich! Für meine Cake Pops habe ich einfach ein simples "White Cake"- Rezept benutzt. Zutaten siehe oben, den Link zum Rezept findet ihr bei allrecipes.com (auch in metrischen Messangaben). Allerdings habe ich statt nur Milch zu verwenden, die Milch mit meinem selbtgemachten Mandelmus (100% Mandel) gemischt, um dem Kuchen ein wenig extra Geschmack zu geben. Falls ihr übrigens Interesse an Mandelmus oder Cashewmus, Pistazienmus oder aber Nougatcreme mit Mandel oder Cashew habt, dann schreibt mir, ich habe nämlich noch viele von diesen kleinen Gläschen bei mir stehen.
Baking Cake Pops is pretty simple and you do not need a lot of stuff. Just your favourite cake recipe, frosting, wood sticks and a lot of time, because Cake Pops are definitely a full day of work and of course also fun :) For my Cake Pops I used a simple white cake recipe from allrecipes.com. But I used a special flavored milk by mixing the milk with my handmade almond-butter (100% almonds). You can see the glass in the front of the picture and if you like to maybe buy some of it, just contact me, because I have lots of leftovers, also cashewbutter, pistachiobutter and nougatbutter with almonds or cashew.
Zutaten mischen und viel rühren. Ich habe für mich gelernt, dass man Eier immer einzeln in den Teig schlagen sollte und jedes Ei mindestens eine halbe Minuten verrühren sollte, bevor das nächste dran kommt. Das macht den Teig schön fluffig und geschmeidig.
Mixing the ingredients and lots of stirring. I've learned to always mix the eggs one after the other into the dough and you should mix every egg at least for half a minute before taking the next one. Then your dough comes out very fluffy and nice.
Kuchenform befüllen und ab in den Ofen :) Sobald der Kuchen fertig ist, muss er vollständig oder fast vollständig auskühlen, bevor ihr ihn weiter benutzen könnt. Dafür habt ihr jetzt erstmal Zeit, das Frosting zu machen.
After the cake is finished, you have to let it cool down completely or at least almost completely, before you can use it. So there is a lot of time making the frosting.
Hierfür könnt ihr natürlich jedes Frosting benutzen, das ihr gerne mögt. Ich habe mich für ein Mandelmus-Frosting entschieden (ich muss diese Muse einfach loswerden :)). Dafür einfach Mandelmus mit Milch geschmeidig rühren und danach genug Puderzucker einarbeiten, damit das Frosting im Kühlschrank hart wird. Falls ihr euch nicht sicher seid, macht einfach eine Probe. Ein bißchen Frosting auf einen Teller geben und ab damit in den Kühlschrank, wenn es nach fünf Minuten anfängt auszuhärten, ist es perfekt.
You can use any frosting you can imagine. I used my special Almondbutter-Frosting, because I have to get rid of all these butter glasses. Just mix the butter with milk until it is smooth, now work in as much powdered sugar as needed so that the frosting becomes hard in the fridge. If you aren't sure., if it is ready, just make a sample: Place some frosting onto a plate and put it into the fridge. If it hardens within five minutes, it is perfect.
Wenn der Kuchen kalt genug ist, schneide die Ränder ab und zerbrösel ihn. Dann kannst du das Frosting einarbeiten, aber nicht zuviel. Der Teig darf nicht zu klebrig sein, sondern sich wie Keksteig formen lassen. Danach muss der Teig erst nochmal kurz ins Tiefkühlfach.
When the cake is cold enough, cut off the edges and crumble it. Then you can mix in the frosting, but not too much. The dough shouldn't be too sticky and should be more like cookie-dough, so you can shape it properly. Put the dough in your freezer.
When the dough is cool enough, you can start shaping it. I decided to make some stars, too. Just find your christmas starform and cut it out of the dough.
Jetzt geht es an die Schoki. Dafür Schoki im Wasserbad schmelzen, den Holzstil eintunken und in die Bällchen stecken.
Now it is all about the choc. Melt the choc, dunk the stick into the choc and put it into the pops.
Wenn alle Pops mit Stäbchen versehen sind, geht es nochmal ins Kühlfach, diesmal aber länger, vllt. ein Stündchen oder so.
If all the pops have sticks in them, you have to put them in your freezer again, but this time longer, maybe for an hour or so.
Danach gehts an die Glasur, dafür den Pop über und über mit Schokolade einhüllen. Das Gute: weil er im Kühlfach lag, härtet die Glasur in kürzester Zeit aus.
Now it's all about the glaze. Drown your pop in chocolate and the best thing is: because you put the pops in your freezer the glaze will harden within seconds.
Schön anzusehen, oder? Ich lagere die Pops immer im Kühlfach, dann schmecken sie nämlich wie Magnum Eis :) Mega Lecker!!!
Nice to look at, don't you think? I store my Cake Pops only in my freezer, because then they taste like Magnum Icecream. Mega Yum!!!
